PFI: Train Then Hire the Candidate
The Training-Insertion Plan allows training a job seeker to the company's needs. The employer then commits to hiring them under contract for at least the duration of the training.
The Walloon sheet updated on August 11, 2026 provides for training of 4 to 26 weeks, organized in the company or partially in a training center. The company must have a headquarters of operation in Wallonia and the candidate be registered as an unemployed job seeker.
Plan from the start the contract that will follow the training, for a duration at least equivalent. The sheet signals variants for heavy truck, bus and coach drivers as well as Interim PFI. Have the arrangement validated by Le Forem before starting.
Do not reuse an old model of Walloon transition internship: the Decree of July 18, 2013 has been repealed and Wallex indicates an end of validity on June 29, 2017, on https://wallex.wallonie.be/eli/arrete/2013/07/18/2013204389. The PFI presented here is a distinct current scheme, with hiring obligation.
