Shortages for Work Permit: 2025-2026 List
The specific list for third-country nationals applies from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026 inclusive. It is still valid at the date of this search, but must be re-verified for a later application.
The annex published by SPW targets occupations in shortage in the French-speaking region for the admission to work of a third-country national. It implements article 2, § 2, paragraph 1, 1°, and § 4, paragraph 2, of the decree of the Walloon Government of June 6, 2024.
It cites notably construction manager, site manager, heavy metal structure fitter and industrial installation electrician. Compare the tasks of the position with the exact title of the annex; mere membership in the construction sector is not sufficient.
This list serves for the work authorization file. It does not exempt from the required permit or the professional conditions of the position. Its period ends on September 30, 2026: do not assume its renewal from the next day.
