Physiotherapy: INAMI Number and Services

RecommendationVerified

The INAMI number allows reimbursement of services and must correspond to the location and type of activity. Visa and approval remain separate conditions.

INAMI publishes article 7 of the nomenclature in its version applicable since July 1, 2026. Verify this version for the services that the physiotherapist will have to attest and the conditions for their reimbursement.

The INAMI registration guide requires the diploma, community approval, visa and a Belgian contact address. The number is assigned automatically if its application accompanied the approval and if a Belgian contact address is known; otherwise, the candidate submits the registration form.

The initial number does not allow all services to be attested. For private practice, the practitioner must register this activity in ProSanté no later than the first day to obtain the appropriate competency code, without retroactivity. The date retained is that of the nomenclature version, the guide displaying no date.
