Private Hospitals: Collective Agreement for IFIC Wage Model
The Collective Agreement of March 31, 2021 organizes the complete implementation of the IFIC wage model in the affected federal private services. Its scope does not indiscriminately cover all healthcare establishments.
Article 1 notably addresses covered hospitals, legal psychiatry centers, certain rehabilitation centers, home nursing care, medical centers and blood services. It notably excludes autonomous categorical hospitals, psychiatric care homes and protected housing initiatives in the federal hospital field defined in this Collective Agreement.
The transition to 100% takes effect July 1, 2021. Article 3 protects existing workers from a salary reduction when the model is introduced and provides for possible maintenance of former conditions for those who can choose. For new hiring, verify the provisions concerning new workers, then apply the amounts currently indexed.
