Healthcare Assistant: Registration, Visa and Students
To hire a healthcare assistant, verify community registration and federal visa. A student in nursing must also obtain these authorizations to hold this function.
After recognized training, the candidate requests registration with the competent Community. The visa follows registration and becomes available on the SPF portal after approval. The healthcare assistant assists the registered nurse responsible for general care or the nursing assistant under its supervision.
The page of September 14, 2026 provides a pathway for students who have completed the first year of nursing, nursing assistant, or midwifery. It mentions 60 ECTS for the bachelor's degree, theoretical and clinical training in gerontology and 150 hours of clinical practice, including in geriatrics.
