CP 121: notice of schedule changes
RecommendationVerified
Variable part-time schedules require advance notice. The sector exception for unforeseen necessity requires worker agreement.
Since November 20, 2022, the standard legal notice period is seven working days. A mandatory collective agreement may provide another period, normally at least three working days. Report the applicable notice period in the work rules.
Articles 3 and 4 of the law of October 3, 2022 maintain certain old sector derogations until their expiration. For CP 121, derogation to less than three days concerns only unforeseen necessity with worker agreement. Check the applicable collective agreement before promising immediate availability in a job posting.
