The offer must request the category corresponding to the truck and its trailer. Also check the medical fitness of group 2 and the CAP when the activity requires it.
Category C license authorizes vehicles over 3,500 kg maximum authorized mass; C1 covers those over 3,500 kg and up to 7,500 kg. With C or C1, the trailer cannot exceed 750 kg. Beyond that, the appropriate complementary category CE or C1E is required.
According to the page updated February 20, 2026, C and CE can be obtained from age 18 with professional aptitude, versus 21 without it. To request the license, a medical certificate of group 2 is required among other things. Check the validity of the categories listed on the candidate's document, not just past exam success.
