Single permit for a skilled occupation
For a function on the migration list exercised for more than 90 days, the employer requests a single permit via Working in Belgium. Authorization for this category is limited to one year, even with a permanent contract.

The regional service examines the work, then the Immigration Office examines the residence. A favorable decision on work alone does not yet constitute the single permit. Verify all authorizations and residence documents before starting work.
For this category, renew authorization annually even if the contract is permanent. The page requires filing the renewal at least two months and at most six months before expiration. A worker coming from abroad must register with the municipality within eight business days after arrival.
