End of Flemish reductions for older workers
The reduction for already employed older workers is abolished as of July 1, 2025. The transition for former older job seekers hired before July 2024 ends in the first quarter of 2026.
ONSS instructions distinguish already employed older workers from recruited older job seekers. For the latter, entry into service after June 30, 2024 no longer opens an entitlement; previous entitlements could run during the hiring quarter and the following seven.
Code 6321 could still be requested for previous entitlements until the first quarter of 2026 inclusive. The reduction for already employed workers, code 6320, ended in the third quarter of 2025. The page retains an old reference to 2028, but the correction just before and the body of the instructions explicitly indicate the end in 2025.
For recruitment in September 2026 in a Flemish unit, do not promise any of these old age-related reductions. Regularizations of prior periods must be assessed according to the quarter concerned.
