Prepare gender-neutral salary classifications
The SPF Employment presents the BE-MAGIC analysis on classifications and the pay transparency directive. It helps prepare grids used in salary offers.
The publication of September 29, 2025 distinguishes the pay equality principle already set in European and Belgian law from adaptations necessary to transpose the directive. It does not constitute transposition text.
The project aims to provide social partners with tools for gender-neutral job classification and evaluation, within Article 4, paragraph 2, of the directive. For recruitment, tie the offered salary to the evaluated function and verify criterion neutrality.
The analysis also covers sectoral classifications and other salary benefits. It is useful for revising a grid but does not suffice to establish the timeline of new federal obligations in September 2026; consult the transposition notice.
