First hirings: reduction since July 2026
Recalculate aid based on the date the right opens and rules effective July 1, 2026.
The budget law of May 30, 2026 reduces the first employee ceiling to EUR 2,000 per quarter, without time limit, including for ongoing reductions. For new rights as of July 1, 2026, the second to fifth employees each open a maximum reduction of EUR 1,000 over 12 quarters, to be chosen over 20 quarters. These ceilings correspond to full-time work.
Verify staff numbers for the preceding 12 months and the technical operating unit: a new legal entity is not sufficient. Prior rights follow the transitional provisions detailed by ONSS. Flexi-jobs, hospitality extras, and students under solidarity do not count toward this reduction. Have the rank and DmfA code validated before including the aid in your budget.
