Flexi-jobs: open sectors and exclusions
As of July 1, 2026, private and public sectors are open in principle; check activity and function exclusions.
ONSS instructions exclude domestic staff (CP 323, category 037); funeral services (CP 320), except occasional workers declared E; agriculture (CP 144); horticulture (CP 145), except parks and gardens; maritime fishing (CP 143), except shore personnel (category 019) and warehouse staff (category 086). Fish sales (category 186) remain excluded.
Artistic functions covered by the law of December 16, 2022 remain excluded, as do tasks falling under health care professions in the coordinated law of May 10, 2015 and occupations covered by the law of May 3, 2024 on sex work. A health facility thus cannot use a flexi-job for regulated care acts.
In voucher services, flexi-jobs are limited to the first three months after the first Dimona in the company; continuation thereafter requires a standard open-ended contract. The instruction of September 16, 2026 also confirms a 20% annual ceiling on employment volume for the Flemish childcare sector concerned: https://www.socialsecurity.be/employer/instructions/dmfa/fr/latest/intermediates.
