Part-time: minimum services and monitoring
Verify service duration and ensure schedule traceability. The reduced 2026 weekly minimum does not eliminate the three-hour per-service general rule.
Each service lasts normally at least three hours, full-time or part-time. A royal decree or collective agreement may provide an exception. Since June 1, 2026, the part-time weekly minimum is one-tenth of full-time of the same category in the company, or failing that of the sector. Exceptions remain possible. If the contract provides less than authorized minimum, salary remains due on this minimum basis.
Keep the contract or its signed excerpt where work rules can be viewed. Record deviations from announced schedule in a reliable time-tracking system or in the regulatory document. Failure to publicize schedules or record deviations creates a rebuttable presumption of full-time services.
