Part-time: written contract content
Part-time work requires individual written documentation from work start. Specify the agreed weekly regime and schedule.
Article 11bis of the July 3, 1978 law requires writing by work commencement. The contract distinguishes weekly duration, called regime, from work days and times, called schedule. Specifications must be adapted to the fixed or variable character of each.
Absent compliant writing, the worker may choose the most favorable regime and schedule among those applied in the company. This deficiency does not, by itself, create a right to full-time status.
Keep a copy or signed excerpt of the contract where the work rules can be consulted, per publicity rules of the December 22, 1989 law-program. Since June 1, 2026, the general weekly limit is one-tenth of the reference full-time duration, subject to exceptions.
