Work rules: delivery, content, and filing
Prepare applicable work rules before the employee's arrival and provide them a copy. The obligation exists regardless of employer size subject to law.
The April 8, 1965 law frames content and procedure. Article 6 notably provides schedules or their authorized framework, salary payment, termination rules, leave and references to applicable collective agreements. Since June 2026, certain schedules may fit a general normal working time framework.
Provide a copy at each start and upon changes; keep proof of delivery. A copy must remain accessible without intermediary at each work location, including temporary worksites.
File the rules with Labor Law Enforcement within eight days of entry into force, possibly online. Without a works council, the draft is posted and workers have fifteen days to submit observations. Respect consultation procedure before modifying conditions announced to the candidate.
