Full-time: 38 hours and compensatory rest
Verify sector duration before announcing full-time. Distinguish actual worked hours from average obtained through compensatory rest.
The general framework provides eight hours per day and forty hours per week, subject to exceptions. Since January 1, 2003, reduction to 38 weekly hours applies to affected companies. It may be effective or achieved on average through compensatory rest.
SPF gives the example of forty effective hours with twelve compensatory rest days per year to achieve 38 hours annual average. This number must not be automatically applied to all regimes. Check applicable collective agreement and acquisition rules.
Conventional limits replace legal limits for exceptions, rest and overtime per article 28 of the March 16, 1971 law. Article 19 defines work as time at the employer's disposal. Also verify field exclusions, notably certain management or trust functions.
