Minors: schedules, night work, and Sundays
Workers under 18 enjoy additional limits, even when the sector operates evenings or Sundays.
For young workers outside full-time schooling obligation, provide a maximum of eight hours per day and 40 hours per week, with 38 actual or average hours since January 1, 2003. Add work with multiple employers and part-time mandatory training.
30-minute break beyond 4.5 hours; beyond six hours, one hour including 30 consecutive minutes, subject to exemptions. Rest between days is at least twelve hours. Work between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. is generally prohibited; exemptions are controlled and never permit work between midnight and 4 a.m.
Sunday and public holidays are generally prohibited. The page notably provides an exemption for retail stores and refers to horeca-specific orders. Even with exemption, exceeding one Sunday in two requires prior authorization from labor law inspection. Organize compensatory rest.
