The FAMIWAL sheet updated June 17, 2026 maintains the right unconditionally until August 31 of the year of 18 years. After that, the young person's activity and situation must comply with the conditions for maintaining the right.

The 650 annual hours at reduced contribution rates do not block allowances. Beyond that, an additional quota of 240 hours per quarter applies to work subject to ordinary contributions. Only actual work counts, not paid public holidays. Check the student's residence regime; this sheet concerns Walloon allowances, not those of the German-speaking Community.
