Brussels: 240-hour ceiling per quarter

Under the Brussels regime effective January 2020, the right is unconditional until August 31 of the year of 18 years. After that, a student under 25 can work without losing allowances if their activity does not exceed 240 hours per quarter.

Exceeding the limit results in loss of allowances for the entire quarter. In the third quarter, July to September, the ceiling does not apply if the young person continues studies after summer. Verify this continuation before promising a graduating student summer work without impact.
