Posting: check Limosa-1 proof

RecommendationVerified

Before starting a posting assignment, request Limosa-1 proof and verify the period and place of work. The Belgian client must report the absence of proof.

The Limosa obligation has been in effect since April 1, 2007. It concerns notably employees sent to work temporarily or partially in Belgium and self-employed individuals posted in risk sectors, including construction. Examine exemptions provided by activity and duration; nationality alone is insufficient to determine the obligation.

Limosa-1 proof must be presented to the Belgian client before beginning activities. If it is missing, the client must report this non-presentation to the authorities. Adapt or extend the declaration if the assignment changes.

The Limosa-1 QR code can be used to register the person in Checkinatwork. Limosa declaration and daily attendance registration are two separate procedures.
