Stage First: conditions and allowances in 2026
Stage First is a first professional experience internship governed by an agreement with Actiris. Since March 27, 2026, the minimum prior enrollment required by the text is 26 days.
Article 4 of the September 29, 2016 order, amended in March 2026, requires less than 30 years at the internship start, at most a secondary education diploma or certificate, a Brussels residence, and at least 26 days of registration as an unemployed job seeker with Actiris. Have eligibility verified before concluding the agreement.
Articles 2, 3, 5, and 6 provide for an agreement between trainee, training provider, and Actiris, accompanied by a support plan. The internship lasts 3 to 6 months and follows the full-time regime applicable to the function in the sector. It should not be presented as an ordinary employment contract.
Articles 11 and 12 set a daily allowance of 26.82 euros and a monthly indemnity of 500 euros charged to the provider. The 500-euro amount applies to agreements concluded since July 1, 2024. Before starting, subscribe to work accident insurance, commute insurance, and civil liability insurance under article 9; establish the final evaluation required by article 10.
